I learned so much during my time at ESSENCE. I’ll miss working alongside my amazing team, my mentee and superstar producer, Tiffani DuPree and my sister and multi-talented director with the good eye, Melody Araujo.

But sometimes in life, you have to take a leap. Or maybe you get pushed. Either way, you’re never really ready to make a huge life change, but they are necessary if you want any chance at growth.

This video is only a small snapshot of my work during my time at ESSENCE. It features a few of my favorite red carpet interviews, including an inspiring moment with Oprah Winfrey, having the superstar who is Cynthia Erivo tell me that she loves watching me and snapshots of my sit-down interviews, The OverExplainer (Reacts) and the series I created, produced and edited, like We See You Sis, The B-Side, Black Affect and more.
